Receiving Care at Gather
Thoughtful care for complex modern lives
Integrative naturopathic medicine and acupuncture that considers the relationship between physiology, stress, environment, nervous system patterns, and lived experience.
Areas of Support
We work with thoughtful, sensitive, and often high-functioning people who are navigating stress, overwhelm, or a sense that something is “off.” Many are used to holding a lot and are looking for a different way to understand and support their health.
We support people experiencing the effects of chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, burnout, and emotional overwhelm, as well as concerns related to sleep, energy, hormones, metabolism, digestion, cognitive function, inflammation, and complex chronic health conditions.
What Working Together May Feel Like
Clinical care is centered on helping your body find its way back to clarity, regulation, and greater capacity. We work together to understand your health in context, including your nervous system, physiology, environment, and lived experience.
Support may include acupuncture, functional and metabolic care, cognitive and hormonal health, and lab interpretation where helpful.
Over time, this work often leads to more clarity, a deeper understanding of your health, and an increased capacity to respond to what life asks of you. It can support greater self-awareness, more realistic and sustainable care, and the experience of feeling supported rather than rushed.
If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to book a complimentary call. This is a space to connect, ask questions, and explore what kind of support may feel most helpful for you.
-
Nothing is assumed.
Physical examination, touch, bodywork, acupuncture, and other forms of treatment are discussed before they begin. You are welcome to ask questions, request more explanation, pause, decline, or change your mind at any time.
Consent is not a single yes at the beginning of an appointment. It remains part of the conversation throughout.
You are also welcome to ask why something is being recommended, what alternatives exist, what we are noticing, and how a particular choice fits into the broader plan.
Your participation is not an inconvenience. It is part of the care.
-
People leave appointments in many different states.
You may feel lighter, more grounded, tired, thoughtful, emotional, energized, tender, clearer, or simply relieved to feel understood.
Hands-on care may also bring temporary awareness to areas that have been guarded or tense. New recommendations can create insight, but they may also take time to absorb.
There is no single correct response to an appointment.
You will be encouraged to notice what changes, what settles, what becomes clearer, and what your body continues to communicate.
These observations help shape what comes next.
-
You do not need to arrive knowing the full path.
You only need a place to begin.
Your first visit is an opportunity to bring forward what matters most, explore the broader context, and begin identifying the direction of care.
From there, we decide together whether the next step may involve further assessment, a physical examination, hands-on treatment, acupuncture, lifestyle support, functional testing, self-connection work, or time to integrate what has already emerged.
Sometimes care is focused.
An acute injury, a recent illness, a stressful season of life, or a specific concern may only require a small number of visits to help your body regain its footing.
Sometimes care unfolds over time.
Long-standing digestive concerns, chronic pain, hormonal changes, nervous-system patterns, autoimmune conditions, or a desire to build health proactively often benefit from a longer relationship that allows us to work layer by layer.
Neither path is "better."
They simply reflect what your body is asking for.

Offerings
-
Initial Intake
Every symptom has a story, and every story deserves the time to be understood. This first visit is an opportunity to explore your health in context: your physiology, nervous system, environment, and lived experience, so we can better understand what your body has adapted to and create a thoughtful plan that helps you build greater capacity to live, feel, think, and heal.
-
Pediatric Intake
Children are constantly growing, adapting, and developing. These visits provide thoughtful, family-centred care that considers your child's unique physiology, nervous system, environment, and stage of development to support healthy growth, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

Follow up Care
Healing is an ongoing process. Follow-up visits provide space to review your progress, adjust your treatment plan, and continue supporting your body as your needs evolve. We never want you to feel rushed, so extended follow-ups are available when you need that extra bit of time to go deeper into care.
-
Functional Testing & Interpretation
Sometimes your symptoms are asking questions that routine testing doesn't fully answer.
