A Little About Dr. Marnie Laplante, ND

Some of my earliest memories are of noticing things other people didn't seem to notice.

As a young child, I remember lying awake during daycare while the other children slept. The room was quiet, sunlight filtered through the blinds, and although I was expected to rest, I couldn't. Instead, I watched. I noticed the changing light, the sounds in the room, and the subtle shifts in the people around me.

One afternoon, I became aware that my teacher wasn't herself. I didn't have the language for stress, tension, or pain, but I sensed something was different. I quietly walked over and asked if I could place my small hands on her sore neck.

Looking back, I realize that moment wasn't about having answers, it was about paying attention.

That curiosity has stayed with me throughout my life.

It eventually led me to study naturopathic medicine, where I discovered that the body is constantly communicating through physiology, patterns, symptoms, and adaptation. What I had sensed intuitively as a child, I would come to understand through years of scientific study, clinical experience, and a deep respect for the body's remarkable ability to heal.

Today, my work brings those worlds together.

As a naturopathic doctor, I help people understand the relationship between stress, the nervous system, hormones, metabolism, cognition, and the many ways life shapes our health. My approach combines evidence-informed naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and education with the belief that healing begins when we slow down enough to understand the whole picture.

Whether we're working together in a one-on-one appointment, a community gathering, or through educational resources, my goal is the same: to help people create more capacity to live, feel, think, and heal.

I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to become curious about ourselves. My role is to create that space; where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you deepen your understanding of your body, build capacity, and learn to care for yourself with greater awareness, compassion, and self-trust.

Life has been asking a lot of you, and your body is letting you know.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or simply know something isn't quite right, care begins by understanding the whole picture, not just the symptoms.
