REMS Radiation Free Bone Scan Clinic

REMS Radiation Free Bone Scan Clinic

Many people believe osteoporosis is something to think about after retirement.

The truth is, we build most of our bone during childhood and young adulthood, reaching peak bone mass around age 30.

From that point forward, the goal shifts from building bone to protecting it.

That protection depends on movement, nutrition, strength training, hormonal health, balance, lifestyle.

And understanding your personal risk long before symptoms appear.

Prevention doesn't begin at retirement.

It begins decades earlier.

This is where REMS changes the conversation.

The Wallis for Wellness radiation-free Echolight REMS Bone Health Assessments allow us to evaluate bone density and bone quality while helping people better understand fracture risk before a fracture occurs.

STRONG BONES, LONG LIFE.

REMS technology allows to measure bone strength without using ionising radiation, by processing a true bone identity card. Besides ensuring a high level of accuracy, it does not require radiological protection and it is easy to use.

HEALTHY BONES. HAPPY LIFE.

REMS technology is an Innovative radiation-free solution for the evaluation of bone strength at the spine and the hip  throughout life. A rapid ultrasound scan for bone health monitoring with immediate report.

Nervous System Reset

A space to listen. A space to be.

Your nervous system is constantly responding to your environment—
shifting between states of activation and rest.

When stress accumulates, the body can become held in patterns of tension, fatigue, or overwhelm.

This experience is designed to gently support your system in shifting—
not through force, but through allowing.

Why this works — in your body, and in community

Acupuncture and acupressure work by gently signaling the body to move out of stress patterns and toward regulation—supporting rest, repair, and restoration.

Sound therapy adds another layer, using tone and frequency to support the brain and body in settling into slower, more restorative states often associated with meditation and early sleep.

And then, there is the often-unspoken element: community.

Receiving care in a shared, intentional space can create a sense of collective ease. As each person begins to settle, it often becomes easier for others to do the same.

This is not about doing more.
It is about creating the conditions where your body can respond.

FAQ

What will this feel like for me, individually?

Each person experiences this differently.
Many notice a gradual softening—slower breathing, quieter thoughts, or a sense of being more present in their body.
You may feel deeply relaxed, lightly drifting, or simply more settled.
Some notice changes during the session; others feel them later.
There is no right way to experience this.

What does it feel like in a group setting?

There is something quietly supportive about being in a shared, intentional space that is seeking calm awareness.
As each nervous system begins to settle, there can be a collective sense of ease. You are still receiving individualized care, while also being supported by the presence of others.

What does acupuncture feel like?

Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile needles.
At insertion, you may feel very little, or a brief sensation such as a light pinch or subtle pressure.
Once placed, you may experience what is known as “de qi”—a therapeutic response that can feel like:
• A gentle heaviness or fullness
• Warmth or spreading sensation
• A dull ache or pressure
• Mild tingling or movement
These sensations are typically mild and short-lived.
Not everyone feels this strongly—and treatment remains effective regardless.

What does acupressure feel like?

Acupressure uses gentle, sustained pressure instead of needles.
You may feel warmth, pressure, or a subtle release in the area. Dr. Marnie, ND may hold areas of tension to feel release.
Many experience it as grounding and calming.
Pressure is always adapted to your comfort.

Do I have to receive acupuncture?

Not at all.
Your treatment is adapted to your comfort—
acupuncture or acupressure, always with care.
What results can I expect?
Many people notice:
• A sense of calm or grounding
• Improved sleep or rest
• Reduced physical tension
• Greater clarity or emotional ease
Each experience is individual, and outcomes can vary.

Are there any side effects?

Acupuncture is generally very safe when performed by a licensed practitioner.
Possible mild, temporary effects include:
• Small bruising
• Light bleeding at needle sites
• Mild soreness
• Temporary fatigue or lightness
 These typically resolve quickly.
• Your consult with Dr. Marnie, ND prior to treatment will answer your specific concerns more completely. Ensure she knows if there is any chance of pregnancy or known vaso-vagal responses.

How are risks discussed and managed?

New patients complete a brief health assessment prior to treatment.
This allows us to:
• Review your health history
• Ensure treatment is appropriate
• Discuss potential side effects
• Obtain informed consent

Can I stop or adjust my treatment at any time?

Yes—always.
You are in control of your experience and can request adjustments or pause at any time. Signal and the treatment stops. Consent is an ultimate tenant of care with Gather Wellness and Dr. Marnie, ND.

What is done to ensure a safe and supportive environment?

• Licensed Naturopathic Doctor providing care
• Sterile, single-use needles and hand sanitization between community members receiving care
• Small group size for individualized attention
• Calm, supportive setting
• Ongoing monitoring throughout the session

What if I am needle-sensitive?

You are welcome here. (At the Healing Nook for the event and in the clinic setting)
Acupressure is always available and equally supportive.
What should I bring?
• Comfortable clothing
• Yoga mat, blanket, and/or pillow
• Water

Is this right for everyone?

This experience may not be suitable for individuals who are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or certain sound sensitivities.
Please reach out if you are unsure.

Final Note:

This is not a space to do more.
It is a space to receive.
A space to listen.
A space to be.
