Meet Dr. Marnie, ND

Marnie Laplante (she/her) is a Naturopathic Doctor and the founder of Gather Wellness, a whole health naturopathic clinic built for you to recognize, reclaim, and rejuvenate for your optimal wellbeing.   She believes in the  power of individual and group healing potential.

Like many sensitives and neuro-divergent people, she’s  learned to be in the world in a way that's true to her own  values and allows her to share her  “superpowers” for the benefit of her patients and those around her.   She’s a kinesthetic empath who offers naturopathic medicine in a unique,  eclectic and integrative manner.

Utililizing  healthy boundaries and safe space as foundational building blocks in therapeutic relationships, she encompases elements of ancient tradition both Eastern and Western and the best of up to date medicine and technology.   She employs a  “jack of all trades”  and “hands on” approach that allows you to be the master of your own wellness experience.   This grass-roots viewpoint and practice can include:  acupuncture, body work/massage, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, life-style counselling, biotherapeutic drainage/ lymphatic support and phototherapy as part of her holistic naturopathic services suite.

She’s a conscious parent in practice, loving the challenge of growing strong human beings and also a thriving community business in Smiths Falls, Ontario.  She is also dedicated to her healing community and returns to her previous community of the Junction, Ontario, Toronto, bi- monthly for continuing care there.   She is available virtually and in person in both locations for any citizens of Ontario (we would need to have at least one in person appointment).

 Some of her special training:

  • Lymphatic optimization and bodywork

  • Biotherapeutic Drainage

  • Mindfulness

  • Trauma support

  • Doula Birthing Support

  • Botanical medicine by the Late Master Herbalist, John Redden

  • Diversity in community development

She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2016.  She loves educating, contributing and co-creating within her communities.  Gather Wellness is a  vehicle to take this passion further.  She is a proud board member of the Naturopathic Legacy Project which exists to preserve the knowledge of the past to save for future generations.

When not parenting, doctoring, volunteering or being a support for loved ones in her life, she can be found sitting quietly in her garden weeding and grounding.   Petting a bee, having another square of dark chocolate and walking specifically on the sidewalk to protect the grass are not out of the realm of usual practices. Meditation goes a long way to soothe and recharge the body and soul, but her true recharge source is the Ocean.

Recognize. Reclaim. Rejuvenate.
